Complex, chronic medical conditions that do not respond to conventional treatments.
I specialize in discovering and treating the underlying causes of complex, chronic medical conditions that have not responded to conventional treatment.
- Hypothyroidism
- Mild adrenal deficiency
- Female hormone imbalances
- Male testosterone deficiency
- Chronic fatigue
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic pain syndromes
- Autoimmune disorders
- Chronic sleep disturbance
- Inability to achieve a normal weight despite diet, exercise, and/or conventional medical weight loss treatments.
- Diabetes
- Parkinson’s
- Chronic infections: Lyme’s, protozoal infections, viral infections
- Depression/anxiety
Most patients with complex chronic conditions have suffered for years, only to be told repeatedly by their primary care physician and multiple specialists: “there is nothing wrong, all of your lab work is normal” or “its all in your head, you need an antidepressant”. Unfortunately, these dismissive responses are routinely given to patients who seek help for medical concerns that are unique, uncommon, poorly understood, or unrecognized by conventional medicine.
Physicians who are insurance providers may only diagnose diseases that are recognized by the patient’s insurance company, they may only use testing methods that are approved by the patient’s insurance company, and they may only use treatment methods that are allowed by the patient’s insurance company. The limits imposed by insurance companies on their contracted physicians keep patients who suffer from unique or unrecognized conditions from getting proper diagnosis and treatment.
I have chosen to work directly for my patients. I know that I must provide real results for my patients in order for them to return and refer others to me. Working directly for my patients, allows me the freedom to offer truly individualized care: it allows me to provide the services and treatments that I believe are best for each patient’s specific situation. It gives me the satisfaction of using my creativity and talents to provide a unique service and practicing medicine as an art, rather than merely as a clinical science and business venture.
